Comment on Wick High School inspection
11 November 2009
Peter Peacock, Highlands and Islands Labour MSP, is welcoming the publication of the follow through inspection into Wick High School.
Mr Peacock said: "It is pleasing to note the improvements made since the original inspection of Wick High School was carried out last year.
"I applaud all the hard work which has gone into making this happen.
"As with all such reports certain areas continue to require attention and I am sure that the Head teacher and the rest of the school staff will address this into the future.
"The inspector also raises the need for continued improvements to the accommodation within the school and I wholeheartedly agree with that.
"This is something my Labour colleagues and I have continually raised in the past.
Mr Peacock added: "Although there is a new building on the way for Wick High, this is still some way off.
"It is vitally important that the necessary repairs are not put off and are carried out as soon as possible"
