Fort William Post Office : MSP's comments
Commenting on the announcement that the post office will be situated on the
ground floor of the WH Smith in Fort illiam, Peter Peacock, Highlands and
Islands Regional Labour MSP said, "I still have concerns that following the
demise of the crown post office and the move to WH Smith the overall level of
service to the Fort William public will diminish.
"However, I welcome the news that the new post office in Fort William will be
based on the ground floor of the WH Smith branch.
"This shows that those who have, like myself, campaigned against the basement
option have finally been listened
to by the Post Office."
